About the job
The purpose and task of the position is to always keep in mind the needs of the customer and carry out the tasks of the marketing and sales department.
The main responsibility is to achieve the room night target in the sales plan and the catering target in the banquet sales.
As Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Assist the Team in all tasks within Sales & Marketing
Support company’s philosophy and company culture using Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences daily to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
To ensure that Mandarin Oriental, Sanya’s grooming and appearance standards are implemented and maintained to reflect an image of professionalism and care.
To carry out annual appraisals and regular feedback on development on all colleagues using the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Performance and Development System PROFILE.
Assist in the establishment and enforcement of wedding and conference sales proposals and communication standards.
Conduct regular sales activities to business association, chamber of commerce, repeat and prospective clients.
Conduct site inspections for and entertain existing or prospective banquet business decision-makers and end users.
Coordinate closely with and provide detailed information to the banquet operations to enable the operations to “look after” the client effectively while the event is in-house.
Focus on forward selling and maximization of available space more than six months out to achieve high yield room business.
Develop a strong repeat business base and constantly source for new business.
Share leads and assists with the Sales Department.
Ensure all accounts and contacts profiles are properly maintained in the Fidelio Delphi Sales & Catering and sales activities reports and tracing system are implemented on a timely manner.
Attend and participate in sales and business development weddings.
Submit sales production and lost business reports.
Provide feedback on relevant trends, competitor pricing, creative concepts and any other information that will contribute toward the achievement of departmental financial and hotel objectives.
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head.
